A focused streaming cohort tool with strong retention and playback metrics.

Tapemetric Analytics is a video analytics platform for streaming services operating across web, mobile and smart-TV experiences. It collects playback, engagement, revenue and quality-of-service events through SDKs and an HTTP API, then organizes audience, content, live-event, retention and QoS dashboards. Its cohort views group viewers by signup or subscription-start week, with slices for plan, first title, device type and region. The product fits streaming operators that need subscription-retention curves alongside viewing and playback-quality signals.
The published plans show a free tier at INR 0 per month with core dashboards, seven-day data retention, three team members and community support. Pro costs INR 4,999 per month and adds realtime dashboards, 90-day retention, an analytics API, live events and email support. Scale costs INR 19,999 per month, adding unlimited team members, 12-month retention, custom retention dashboards, S3 Parquet export and a dedicated customer success manager. Enterprise adds unlimited events, data-residency options, SSO and SCIM, a 99.99% uptime SLA, and DPA plus SOC 2 Type II. A 14-day free trial is also available without a card requirement.
Its strongest fit is a streaming team that values retention analysis tied to content, devices, regions and playback conditions. Web, Android, iOS and smart-TV SDKs, HTTP ingest, Slack, webhooks and API access support a multi-platform measurement setup; S3 Parquet export is available on Scale. The focus is intentionally narrow: cohort reporting centers on signup or subscription-start timing, while revenue, behavioral and lifecycle cohort reports are not included. Warehouse import is also unavailable. Choose Tapemetric when streaming retention, live-event measurement and QoS monitoring are priorities; choose another cohort system when broader commercial or behavioral cohort analysis is required.
Tapemetric Analytics pros and cons
- Where it wins
- Cohort curves slice retention by plan, title, device and region
- Realtime watch-time, concurrency and playback QoS metrics
- SDKs and APIs cover web, mobile, smart TVs and HTTP ingest
- Where it doesn't
- Cohorts do not cover revenue, behavioral or lifecycle analysis
- Warehouse import is not available
- S3 Parquet export and custom dashboards require the Scale plan
