Our verdict on TailoredCV

TailoredCV helps individual job seekers adapt a resume to a specific posting. Upload an existing CV or start with its builder, paste a job description, and receive suggestions for keywords, skills, achievements, and formatting. Applicants can review and edit changes before applying them, so the tool supports a targeted application workflow without making every suggested edit mandatory. Its scope also reaches beyond resume text to cover ATS-oriented checks, cover letters, and interview preparation.

The job-matching workflow is the main draw. TailoredCV analyzes the resume alongside the posting, extracts skills and keywords, provides match scoring and skills-gap analysis, and recommends formatting changes for ATS compatibility. The builder offers multiple templates, with exports available as PDF; the template page also lists DOCX and TXT. Cover-letter generation and interview preparation round out the application process. This breadth may suit applicants who want resume tailoring and adjacent preparation in one web-based service, while someone looking only for a basic document editor may not need the additional tools.

Pricing is paid-only for the resume product. The Pro Plan is listed at $12.50 per month with annual billing, or $15 per month when billed monthly; both listings include AI customization, unlimited tailoring, performance analytics, templates, cover-letter generation, and multi-format exports. The annual rate is the lower monthly equivalent but requires annual billing. Support channels include email, chat, and documentation, and the listed compliance posture includes GDPR. Choose TailoredCV if job-specific editing, ATS checks, and interview tools justify a subscription; applicants who need a free resume plan or a non-web platform should look elsewhere.
