Our verdict on Syntetyc Downloads
Syntetyc Downloads is a digital resource library for illustrators working on anime-style landscapes, fantasy environments, and Ghibli-inspired artwork. Operated by illustrator and designer Roberto Nieto, it combines brush sets with tutorials, courses, color palettes, and printables. The central free offering is Environment Brushes 2.0, a collection of 19 brushes intended for natural-environment and related illustration work. It suits artists who want a focused brush resource rather than a general-purpose digital art marketplace.
Platform compatibility is a clear strength. The collection provides native files for Procreate, Photoshop, Art Studio Pro, Clip Studio Paint, Infinite Painter, Krita, and Affinity. The published formats include .brushset, .abr, .artstudio_brushes, .sut, .przp, .bundle, and .afbrushes, with delivery by download. Layered illustration source files add editable working material, while the detailed PDF brush guide and free video tutorials provide supporting instruction. Artists already working in one of the listed applications can choose the corresponding format instead of adapting a generic file.
The free collection is the most defined entry point, while the digital store extends into brushes, tutorials, courses, color palettes, and printables, with free and paid resources. That breadth gives illustrators options to expand beyond the initial brush set, but the product remains most relevant to environment-focused anime and fantasy workflows. Choose Syntetyc Downloads if you want free, multi-application brushes paired with source files and learning material. Artists seeking a different subject focus or a library centered on another illustration style may prefer a more specialized alternative.
