Swish is a Swedish mobile payment service from Getswish AB for private individuals who want to send and receive money through a linked bank account. Users connect a mobile number to a participating Swedish bank account and activate the app with Mobile BankID. The service supports real-time payments between Swish users, receiving payments without a smartphone, payment requests, QR-code transactions and payments at participating physical stores. It runs on iOS and Android as a mobile-only service.

Swish is free for private individuals to send and receive money. Bank-specific terms and eligibility may apply. Its ecosystem centers on Mobile BankID and participating Swedish banks rather than a broad set of third-party integrations. Within the app, users can view payment history, scan a QR code to initiate a payment, or display a personal QR code for receiving money. This makes the service suited to everyday transfers and supported in-store purchases without a paid tier to evaluate.

The scope is primarily domestic: Swish payments are described as domestic, and the service does not provide international transfers or bill-pay features. In-store use also depends on participating physical stores, while support is provided through documentation. Choose Swish if you are in Sweden and need no-cost, bank-linked peer-to-peer payments with QR and BankID authentication. Consider another payment app if international money movement, bill payment, broader integrations or a non-mobile deployment are central requirements.
