Summit Bare Metal Servers provide single-tenant physical servers for SMBs, enterprises, developers, and teams running web applications, databases, big-data systems, AI and machine-learning workloads, HPC, game servers, and private infrastructure. Customers can choose CPU, memory, storage, operating system, uplink speed, and data-center location, with root access and one public IPv4 address included. The service supports web, API, Windows, and Linux environments.
The product spans three configurable tiers and several preset server options. Essential Bare Metal supports Intel Xeon CPUs, up to 128GB of memory, and up to 12TB of storage. Advanced Bare Metal raises capacity to 2TB of memory and 24TB of storage and adds 10Gbps public bandwidth. Ultimate Bare Metal adds Intel Xeon Gold and AMD EPYC CPUs, dual CPU configurations, up to 4TB of memory, up to 372TB of storage, and 10Gbps public bandwidth. Published pricing uses monthly amounts tied to a 12-month term, and the service is paid rather than free.
Infrastructure management is a notable strength. Compass Portal provides console access, API integration, and analytics, while hardware monitoring and replacement support address physical-server operations. VLAN, firewall, and private interconnect options support isolated infrastructure designs, and 1Gbps or 10Gbps uplinks include 10TB of outbound bandwidth. NVIDIA H200, H100, and L40S add-ons make the service a fit for GPU workloads. Choose Summit for dedicated compute, storage, network capacity, or specialized infrastructure; teams seeking a free plan or a lightweight hosting setup should look elsewhere.
