Stripe Invoicing review
A payment-focused invoicing system for global billing and recurring collections.

Stripe Invoicing is designed for finance teams, businesses collecting payments, and developers automating accounts-receivable workflows. It supports creating, customising, sending, and managing one-time or recurring invoices through the Dashboard or APIs. Customers can pay from Stripe-hosted invoice pages using cards, bank transfers, mobile wallets, and other supported payment methods. A customer portal covers invoices, payment details, and subscriptions, while analytics and accounts-receivable ageing reports support financial oversight.
Pricing is percentage-based rather than a monthly subscription. According to the vendor’s Belgium pricing page, Starter costs 0.4% per paid invoice and includes invoice creation through the Dashboard or APIs, hosted invoice pages, a customer portal, automatic collection, and invoice auto-reconciliation. Plus costs 0.5% per paid invoice and adds quotes alongside the Starter features. Custom pricing may be available for businesses, and Payments pricing also applies. Regional pricing may differ. Integrations with NetSuite, Xero, QuickBooks, and other accounting or ERP systems make Stripe Invoicing a fit for businesses connecting billing with existing finance workflows.
The product’s main advantage is breadth around payment collection: automatic email reminders, smart retries for failed payments, reconciliation for ACH credit and wire transfers, and support for 25+ languages and 135+ currencies. That makes it suitable for businesses with international customers, recurring billing, or developer-led accounts-receivable processes. Businesses seeking a free invoicing plan or a simple fixed-price monthly tool should look elsewhere. Stripe Invoicing is better suited to teams that value payment-method coverage, automation, and API access enough to accept percentage-based invoice charges.
