StresStimulus review
A Windows-focused performance testing tool for small browser, API and mobile workloads.

StresStimulus is a performance, load and stress testing tool for websites, web applications, web APIs and mobile apps. It records browser or mobile usage scenarios, converts traffic into test scripts, replays them with virtual users, and reports response times, errors, throughput and infrastructure metrics. It is aimed at web developers, IT and operations teams, QA professionals and performance engineers that need on-premise, private-cloud or public-cloud load generation.
Pricing is available through both a free edition and paid Pro licenses. The free edition supports up to 250 virtual users. Paid options include Pro 5 VU Permanent at $330 one-time; Pro 25 VU Weekly Pass at $120 weekly; Pro 25 VU Monthly at $180 per month; Pro 25 VU Quarterly at $280 per quarter; Pro 25 VU Annual at $470 per year; Pro 25 VU Permanent at $780 one-time; Pro 50 VU Weekly Pass at $150 weekly; and Pro 50 VU Monthly at $220 per month. The paid packages add the Pro edition and specify their virtual-user capacity, giving teams several short-term, recurring and perpetual purchasing options.
Its feature set covers HTTP, HTTPS, AJAX, SOAP, WCF and XML-over-HTTP testing, plus dynamic parameter correlation, data parameterization, steady and step load patterns, and virtual-user adjustment during a test. Distributed agents support load generation across multiple machines, while integrations include Fiddler, Microsoft Dynamics CRM/365, SAP, SharePoint and Salesforce. Cloud testing uses cloud-hosted load generators rather than a browser-hosted SaaS interface, and the application runs on Windows. StresStimulus suits teams with Windows environments and focused web or API workloads; teams seeking a platform-neutral, browser-based service should consider an alternative.
