Stockroom is inventory management and sales software for small and growing businesses, particularly retailers managing stock by location. Its scope covers a costed inventory ledger, purchasing and receiving, sales orders, returns, transfers, barcode workflows, cycle-count audits and reporting. The product also supports reservations, available-to-promise inventory, backorders, kits, bundles, units of measure, rentals, role-based permissions, and serial or lot traceability. It is delivered as a web application with free and paid plans priced per active location.
The Free plan provides 1 location, 1 user, up to 50 active SKUs, sales orders and customers, an inventory valuation report, and CSV import and export. Starter costs $69 per location per month and raises the allowance to 3 users and 2,000 active SKUs, adding purchase orders, suppliers, receiving, barcode tools, labels, scanning, live two-way Square sync, and live Shopify sync. Growth costs $89 per location per month, supports up to 10 users and unlimited SKUs, and adds multi-location transfers, smart reorder, reservations, backorders, kits, units of measure, and cycle-count scheduling. Business costs $199 per location per month and adds unlimited users, serial number tracking, chain of custody, lot and expiry traceability, tax and accounting assistance, and API access.
Inventory depth is the main reason to consider Stockroom. Its append-only costed ledger, partial receiving, landed-cost allocation, variance metrics, traceability, and inventory, valuation, profit-and-loss, and best-seller reports give it a broader operational focus than a basic stock list. Square and Shopify connectivity also fits retailers building around those sales systems. Stockroom should suit location-based retailers that need purchasing, stock controls, and progressively deeper audit features. Businesses needing more than 1 location on the free plan, more than 50 active SKUs, or a lower paid entry price should look beyond the product.
