StarRez is a configurable housing and residential community management platform for universities, student accommodation providers, build-to-rent operators, co-living communities, staff housing teams, and related organizations. Its coverage spans applications, room assignments, leases, resident portals, billing, online rent collection, maintenance, inspections, communications, reporting, and community operations. Web access is complemented by iOS and Android applications for staff activities such as inspections, check-ins, and maintenance work.
The platform’s strongest fit is for operators managing room-based housing rather than only conventional rental units. Room and roommate selection, inventory, inspections, lease contracting, renewals, resident activity dashboards, and recurring payment collection are handled alongside property billing and accounts receivable and payable workflows. Resident communications can run through email, SMS, and the portal. Integrations include Xero, Workday, Twilio, Salesforce, PayPal, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Mailchimp, DocuSign, and the StarRez API, giving organizations options for connecting finance, communications, customer management, document signing, and enterprise systems.
