Our verdict on Standuply

Standuply is a workflow-automation bot for Slack and Microsoft Teams, designed for Scrum teams, project managers, product managers, and engineering leaders. Its focus is asynchronous Agile collaboration: teams can run standups, retrospectives, backlog refinement, planning poker, polls, and surveys with text, voice, or video responses. It also supports Kanban report templates, burndown charts, cumulative flow diagrams, scheduled reports, analytics, and AI-enhanced responses through ChatGPT integration. Standuply is best suited to teams that want to automate recurring Agile ceremonies around their existing task trackers rather than replace a full project-management system.

Pricing is structured across free, per-user, and flat-fee options. The Starter plan is free and includes unlimited free to-dos, three respondents for automation, customizable questions, manual standups, and surveys. Team costs $1.50 per user per month with annual billing or $2 per user per month with monthly billing, adding web report history, a standups analytics dashboard, conditional questions, voice and video answers, and XLSX and PDF export. Team flat fee costs $149 per month with annual billing or $199 per month with monthly billing and includes unlimited users and multi-admin access. Business costs $3.50 per user per month annually or $4 monthly, adding backlog refinement, planning poker, scheduled collaboration meetings, advanced integrations, and priority support. A Business flat-fee option costs $249 per month annually and includes unlimited users, multi-admin access, backlog refinement, and planning poker.

Its ecosystem fit is a central strength: integrations include Slack, Microsoft Teams, Jira, Trello, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Asana, Pivotal, Google Analytics, and Giphy. That breadth supports teams that already manage work elsewhere and need more structured communication and reporting. The trade-off is scope. Standuply coordinates ceremonies and surfaces Agile information, but it is not positioned as a complete project-management system. Choose it when asynchronous collaboration and automation are the priority; choose a broader project-management product when your team needs the main workspace for end-to-end planning and delivery.
