Stackhero Docker review
A managed Docker VM with Compose, Portainer, TLS routing, and daily backups.

Stackhero Docker provides managed cloud hosting for containers on a dedicated virtual machine with a dedicated IPv4 address. It is aimed at teams that want production Docker hosting without operating the underlying server themselves, while retaining access to their containers, APIs, and data. Deployments use Docker CLI or Docker Compose, and the included Portainer interface offers web-based container management. This setup suits teams comfortable with Docker who want a private VM and managed infrastructure rather than a more abstract application platform.
Pricing is monthly, starting with the $19-per-month Hobby option, which lists 1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, and 2 GB SSD storage. A second Hobby option costs $49 per month and lists 2 vCPUs, 2 GB RAM, and 10 GB SSD storage. Startup is listed at $99 per month for 2 vCPUs, 4 GB RAM, and 20 GB SSD storage, or $199 for 4 vCPUs, 8 GB RAM, and 40 GB SSD storage. Enterprise options are $399 per month for 8 vCPUs, 16 GB RAM, and 80 GB SSD storage, and $799 for 16 vCPUs, 32 GB RAM, and 160 GB SSD storage. A 30-day trial is available. The plans are paid rather than free, and the published monthly equivalents are billed hourly based on service uptime.
The operational feature set is the main reason to consider it: Traefik-based HTTPS routing supports custom domains, remote Docker API access uses TLS and authentication, and firewall controls cover IP and port access. Stackhero also handles updates, monitoring, and daily atomic backups, with one-click restoration, updates, and instance resizing. Email and chat support are available, but not 24/7. Choose Stackhero if you want a dedicated Docker host with these management and recovery tools; teams looking for a free plan or around-the-clock support should consider alternatives.
