Affordable Windows backup automation for mixed database environments.

SQLBackupAndFTP is a downloadable Windows application for automating backups across Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, and Amazon RDS SQL Server databases. It suits organizations that want scheduled database protection on their own Windows computers, particularly when backup destinations range from local or network folders to NAS, FTP/SFTP servers, and cloud storage. Jobs can include full, differential, transaction-log, and selected incremental backups, with retention rules, compression, AES encryption, notifications, and restore workflows.
Pricing spans a free plan, one-time licenses, and annual Full-Service subscriptions. The Free plan schedules backups for SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. Lite costs $39 one-time per computer and adds scheduled backups for those databases with Google Drive and Dropbox. Standard costs $89 one-time per computer with unlimited scheduled database backups plus Google Drive and Dropbox. Professional costs $129 one-time per computer and adds Amazon S3, Azure Storage, OneDrive for Business, and AES encryption. Professional Lifetime costs $499 one-time per computer and includes the full feature set and lifetime updates. A Professional 1 database license costs $20 one-time per computer. Full-Service subscriptions cost $68 per year per computer for Professional or $48 for Standard, adding automatic updates, web backup history, direct email support, and service-down alerts.
Its strongest fit is a Windows-centered backup strategy that needs more than a single database engine or storage target. SQL Server backup verification uses RESTORE VERIFYONLY, while restore jobs can automatically restore preceding differential or transaction-log backups. Notifications cover email, Slack, Teams, Discord, and webhooks. The trade-off is platform scope: this is Windows software, and licensing is per computer. Buyers needing the broader destination set, encryption, or subscriber features must choose higher-priced options or an annual plan. Organizations seeking a Windows-based, mixed-database backup tool should consider it; teams requiring another operating system should look elsewhere.
