Sprout Social is a paid social media management and analytics platform for businesses and organizations. It supports planning, scheduling and publishing across X, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Bluesky, Threads, WhatsApp and Reddit. Core tools include a publishing calendar, Optimal Send Times, a consolidated inbox, approval workflows, reporting, review management and AI-assisted captions and alt text. It is aimed at teams that need social operations connected to broader business systems rather than a lightweight publishing tool.
Published plans show a clear progression in both price and workflow depth. Essentials costs $79 per seat per month with annual billing and includes up to five social profiles, profile and post-level reporting, a collaborative calendar, Optimal Send Times and SproutLink. Standard costs $199 and adds a consolidated inbox, keyword and location monitoring, unlimited AI-generated alt text and review management. Professional costs $299, adds unlimited profiles, message tagging, competitor, tag and paid insights, approval workflows and Enhance Post by AI Assist. Advanced costs $399 and adds sentiment, the Sprout API, help-desk integrations, Enhance Reply by AI Assist and Message Spike Alerts. Enterprise has a tailored plan with white-glove onboarding, dedicated SSO setup service and priority support.
Its strongest fit is an organization that values ecosystem connections and coordinated publishing, engagement and measurement. Integrations include Salesforce, Zendesk, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Marketo, Tableau, Shopify, Dropbox, Google Drive, Canva, Bynder, Adobe Experience Manager, Slack, Google Analytics and Bitly. Web, iOS, Android and API access extend the platform across operating contexts, while the published scheduling limit reaches 10,000 posts outside trial use. Teams with complex approvals, customer-service handoffs or paid and competitor reporting should find the higher tiers more relevant. Smaller teams seeking a low-cost social scheduler may prefer a narrower tool, especially because there is no free plan and advanced capabilities sit behind higher per-seat pricing.
