SpaceMatch review
A focused utility for managing display LUTs across multiple systems and screens.

SpaceMatch is a display-management utility for post-production, VFX and other workflows that need consistent gamma and colour temperature across PC-connected displays. It manages graphics-card video-card gamma tables (VCGTs), loads and applies 1D LUTs, and supports separate LUTs for multiple displays. The product is intended for single-workstation use, including production laptops and facility display-matching workflows. It is a practical fit for users who need to manage display LUTs across systems rather than a broad calibration suite.
The SpaceMatch DCM plan costs £115 as a one-time purchase and includes graphics-card VCGT management, a LUT graph, VCGT LUT save and load functions, free updates and a single-workstation license. The software has no free plan. Its core workflow is centered on applying and reading display tables: users can read active VCGT data, convert active ICC profiles into suitable 1D LUTs, save and load VCGT LUT files, and reset display tables. Multiple LUT windows support work with multiple displays.
SpaceMatch fits workflows that connect calibration and display matching with ColourSpace, including loading LUTs generated by that application. Command-line operation and startup or task scheduling add options for repeatable workstation setup. Windows is the primary platform; Mac use is supported through Windows emulation. The main boundary is scope: SpaceMatch manages 1D LUTs and VCGTs, not 3D LUTs, and its license is limited to one workstation. Choose it when multi-display VCGT management, scheduling and ColourSpace integration are central requirements. Choose an alternative when you need 3D LUT calibration, native macOS operation or licensing for more than one workstation.
SpaceMatch pros and cons
- Where it wins
- Manages separate VCGTs and 1D LUTs for multiple displays
- Supports command-line operation and startup or task scheduling
- Integrates with ColourSpace and includes free updates
- Where it doesn't
- Single-workstation license limits deployment scope
- Mac use requires Windows emulation
- Uses 1D LUT and VCGT workflows rather than 3D LUTs
