SpaceMan ICC review
A focused ICC and LUT transformation tool for color-critical production workflows.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
SpaceMan ICC is a standalone color-profile management application for film, television, broadcast, and other color-critical workflows. Its main audience is colorists and technical artists who need to convert 3D LUTs into ICC v4 profiles, edit existing profiles, or prepare display and look-management workflows for ICC-aware applications. It can also create Display Class ICC profiles for display calibration and generate VCGT data for graphics-card-based grayscale and white-point adjustment.
The product has one paid plan at £135 as a one-time purchase, with a five-day free trial and free updates. That plan includes ICC v4 profile generation, 3D LUT conversion, existing ICC profile editing, and VCGT support. Its standout capability is the transformation of LUT-based color intent into ICC profile structures, with support for multiple 3D LUT formats, profile validation, and Input+BToA profiles for look management. This makes it more specialized than a general-purpose display calibration package.
SpaceMan ICC fits workflows involving Photoshop, After Effects, QuickTime, Final Cut Pro, ColourSpace, Mistika, and DaVinci Resolve. It is primarily developed for Windows; macOS use requires Windows emulation. The manual also cautions that direct macOS display calibration with volumetric LUT data is not supported without additional profile tags. Choose SpaceMan ICC when ICC profile creation, editing, validation, or LUT conversion is central to the workflow. Choose a more complete primary calibrator when end-to-end display measurement and calibration are the main requirement.
