Our verdict on Soul Machines
Soul Machines creates interactive digital people and AI assistants for customer service, workforce operations, learning, and personal assistance. Soul Machines Studio supports avatar creation, configurable voices and languages, real-time animation, conversational AI, and deployment across websites and digital environments. It suits businesses and developers that need conversational avatars rather than video-only presenters, with web, API, iOS, and Android support. The platform also supports custom appearance through Digital DNA Blender, autonomous conversations, script-based video generation, and 22 text-to-speech languages.
Pricing ranges from a permanent Free plan to paid tiers built around interactive conversation minutes and deployment capacity. Free includes Soul Machines Studio access, AI assistant creation, templates, gestures, voice and language configuration, and conversational AI integration. Basic costs $12.99 per month and adds 40 interactive conversation minutes, one assistant, live deployment, 20 video downloads, full-screen deployment, and a reporting dashboard. Plus costs $99 per month for 350 minutes, three assistants, 100 downloads, custom embedded deployment, and custom LLM integration. Pro costs $2,700 per month and provides 10,000 minutes, six assistants, unlimited downloads, and the same deployment and LLM capabilities.
Its strongest fit is for organizations that want an avatar to interact with visitors or users in real time. Integrations include OpenAI, Microsoft, AWS, Google, Microsoft Copilot, ElevenLabs, Zapier, IBM, Deepgram, Kore.ai, Voiceflow, Salesforce, and ServiceNow, giving teams several routes into existing AI, voice, automation, and business workflows. Live deployment and custom website embedding support production-facing experiences, while reporting adds conversation analytics. Teams needing output above 720p, or those seeking only straightforward video generation, should consider an alternative focused on those needs. Soul Machines is better suited to conversational deployments where interaction, customization, and system integration matter.
