Our verdict on SoSci Survey
SoSci Survey is online questionnaire software for researchers, universities, companies, and institutes. It supports more than 30 predefined question types, conditional questions, skip logic, branching, randomization, multimedia content, responsive questionnaires, participant management, personalized links, online analysis, and research-oriented data exports. The platform is available as a hosted cloud service or as software installed on an organization’s own web server, making it a strong fit for academic and institutional studies that need detailed control over questionnaire behavior and data handling.
Its pricing separates testing, eligible research, and commercial administration. Unlimited Testing provides full functionality for as long as desired. Free for Research is intended for scientific studies not commissioned by or conducted with a company, with a maximum of 5,000 respondents. Commercial cloud packages are prepaid in EUR plus tax rather than sold as subscriptions: Small costs €49 for one month and supports up to 500 respondents, while Small for 12 months costs €399 for up to 6,000 respondents. Small Long Term costs €69 for 12 months and supports up to 250 respondents. Medium costs €69 for one month with up to 1,200 respondents, €599 for 12 months with up to 15,000 respondents, or €149 for 12 months in the Long Term option with up to 1,250 respondents.
