Sophos Central Firewall Management is a cloud console for administrators responsible for Sophos Firewall devices. It brings monitoring and configuration into one place, with options to manage firewalls individually or in groups. That makes it suited to teams standardizing administration across a Sophos firewall fleet, rather than organizations seeking a vendor-neutral management layer.

Its scope reaches beyond policy editing: administrators can synchronize group policies, deploy firewalls with zero-touch provisioning, assign subscriptions, store logs and generate reports, and manage firmware and configuration backups. Historical audit trails and status monitoring help teams follow policy changes, while role-based access controls who can administer firewalls. The web interface and API provide access to the cloud service, and integrations include Sophos Endpoint, MDR, XDR, Email, Server and Wireless. These adjacent Sophos connections fit organizations already using the broader Sophos Central platform; they do not change the product's firewall-specific focus.

Sophos says Firewall Management requires a paid subscription other than the Base Firewall license, and its pricing model is contact sales. Teams should account for that subscription requirement when evaluating it, especially if they need an openly priced entry option. Sophos Central is also being renamed gradually to Sophos Fusion; Sophos describes this as an upgrade rather than a retirement. Choose this product when centralized deployment, group policy administration, licensing and change oversight for Sophos Firewall devices are priorities. A team managing firewalls from several vendors, or looking for a free management tier, should consider a different fit.
