A self-hosted VPS management platform with broad virtualization and hosting operations features.

SolusVM is a license-based, self-hosted virtual infrastructure management platform for hosting providers, resellers, and teams running virtual servers internally. Its web interfaces support cluster and virtual server management, while the platform also provides REST API access for administration and automation. It is designed for operations that need to provision and manage VPS environments across compute resources rather than for individual desktop virtualization.
The published annual plans separate management from compute. Management Node costs $21.25 per year and includes the central control plane, UI, API endpoints, orchestration logic, and 24x7 support. Micro costs $25.50 per year and Mini costs $51 per year, each listing compute resources. Management Node with Virtualization costs $102 per year and combines management and virtualization on one server, with support for hosting virtual servers. Unlimited also costs $102 per year and includes compute resources with an unlimited number of VPSes. A 30-day trial is available, but there is no free plan.
SolusVM’s main strength is its coverage of hosting operations: backups and snapshots, configurable load balancing, scalable storage management, disaster recovery, live migration, and automatic high-availability failover for supported KVM servers. Billing integrations include WHMCS, Blesta, and Hostbill, while cPanel and Plesk are also listed integrations. The platform supports web, API, and self-hosted access, with documented virtualization coverage for KVM, OpenVZ, Virtuozzo, Xen PV, and Xen HVM. Choose it when VPS management, automation, billing connectivity, and infrastructure continuity matter together. Organizations seeking a hosted service rather than software installed on Linux-based servers should consider a different model.
SolusVM pros and cons
- Where it wins
- Supports KVM, OpenVZ, Virtuozzo, and Xen virtualization
- Includes live migration, HA failover, backups, and disaster recovery
- REST API and billing integrations support hosting automation
- Where it doesn't
- The lowest-priced tier is a management node, not full virtualization
- Self-hosted deployment requires Linux-based management and compute servers
- No free plan; virtualization tiers cost more than the entry license
