Socrative is a web-based assessment platform for teachers and students, with mobile apps for iOS and Android. It supports multiple-choice, true/false, and short-answer quizzes; live quick questions; polls; exit tickets; and timed Space Races. Educators can monitor responses in real time, automatically grade quizzes, and export activity reports. Students can join through a room code or QR code without necessarily creating an account. The product fits classroom, higher-education, corporate, and vocational-education settings where structured student response matters more than presentation design.

The Free plan includes five quizzes, one room, 50 students per activity, 30-day report history, and automatic grading. Essentials costs $10 per seat per month billed annually and adds unlimited quizzes, five rooms, 90-day report history, paused activities, rostered rooms, and advanced reports. Pro costs $16.67 per seat per month billed annually, with 30 rooms, 20 shared libraries, 300 students per activity, embedded videos, and unlimited report history. Organization costs $14.40 per seat per month billed annually and adds multi-account consolidation, enhanced control of shared resources, a dedicated account manager, priority support, and custom agreements. A 21-day free trial is also available.

Socrative’s strongest fit is formative assessment: teachers can choose teacher-paced, instant-feedback, or open-navigation quizzes, follow answers with polls, and use reports to review activity. Quiz content can include images, links, equations, and videos, while AI can generate and import assessment questions. Google SSO and Google Drive report exports support a Google-centered workflow. The 50-student activity limit on Free and the higher plan requirements for larger groups make tier selection important. Choose Socrative for live classroom questioning and structured assessment; choose a broader presentation-authoring product when slide creation and wider audience interaction are the primary needs.
