Broad SCA coverage with reachability, SBOMs, pull-request scanning, and monitoring.

Snyk Open Source is a software composition analysis product for developers and security teams. It scans open-source dependencies for known vulnerabilities and license issues across IDEs, command-line workflows, source-code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and production environments. Its supported ecosystems include C/C++, Dart/Flutter, Elixir, Go, Java/Kotlin, JavaScript, .NET, PHP, Python, Ruby, Rust, Scala, Swift/Objective-C, and TypeScript. Teams can use it through the web and API, with hosted SaaS deployment and Broker-based connectivity for repositories and systems inside a customer network.
The product’s coverage extends from pull-request scanning and CI/CD build gates to continuous monitoring for newly disclosed vulnerabilities. Reachability analysis adds call-path information, while risk-based prioritization helps focus remediation work. Snyk can also generate SBOMs in CycloneDX and SPDX formats, apply license and security policies, and create automated vulnerability-fix pull requests. Integrations include GitHub, GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, Bitbucket Cloud, Bitbucket Server, Azure Repos, and Jira, giving it a broad fit across common development and issue-tracking workflows.
Pricing follows a freemium structure. The Free plan provides SCA access, IDE, CLI, and source-code-manager integrations, with five projects. Team costs $25 USD per contributing developer per month and adds increased product test limits, Jira integration, and 100 projects. Ignite costs $1,260 USD per contributing developer per year and adds full platform capabilities, unlimited code tests, and custom security rules. Enterprise adds SBOM support, custom user roles, security policy management, and a rich API. Snyk Open Source suits teams seeking wide SCA coverage across development workflows; teams needing only a small dependency-scanning footprint may find the broader platform structure unnecessary.
