Our verdict on SkinMC
SkinMC is a Minecraft profile and skin community that also lists mods, packs, servers, capes and wallpapers, and its editor sits in the Tools menu beside a cape editor, a banner editor and avatar, totem and head makers. The editor autosaves as you work, shows the skin in 2D, in 3D or in both side by side, and keeps a separate reference panel where an uploaded picture can sit next to the canvas while you copy colours or details from it.
The tool set is compact: pixel and draw tools, an eyedropper, fill, move, erase and a pair of brightness controls that lighten or darken pixels for quick shading, plus an environment option for the preview. Skins arrive by drag and drop or a file picker, and finished work can be shared to the site's Creations section, where community uploads sit next to skins taken from player profiles. A monthly wallpaper challenge and an activity feed keep the community side busy, and a companion cape editor covers the other half of a player's look.
Compared with the larger editors, SkinMC offers fewer tools and little documentation, and nothing on its pages describes HD skins, layers or posing, so those should not be assumed. Signing up unlocks the community features such as uploads and profiles. As a clean, autosaving editor with a reference panel, attached to an active skin community, it suits players who work from a picture or who want to share results with an audience quickly.
