Simudyne Pulse review
A specialized synthetic-market simulator with a useful free tier and paid testing tools.

Simudyne Pulse generates synthetic financial-market data through agent-based simulation. It is aimed at research, trading-model training, algorithm development, backtesting, market-impact analysis, and stress testing. PulseABM provides millisecond-resolution order books, quotes, orders, trades, and order-flow data through a web platform, API, and Python SDK. Outputs include Polars DataFrames, Parquet, and ZIP downloads, making Pulse a focused option for teams working with market microstructure rather than general-purpose synthetic data.
The Free plan provides pre-run cached simulations, simulation data as Polars DataFrames, bulk ZIP downloads, and selected HKEX and LSE symbols, dates, and scenarios. The Pro plan adds custom simulation jobs, all six market scenarios with custom parameters, execution-algorithm testing, validation results, and FIX 4.4 connectivity. The published plan structure makes the free tier suitable for exploring available datasets and workflows, while teams that need tailored runs, broader scenario control, or exchange-connectivity testing will need Pro. Pro pricing requires contacting Simudyne.
Pulse’s strongest differentiator is its depth around simulated market behavior. It supports synthetic L1/L2/L3 order-book data, custom Monte Carlo jobs, stress scenarios such as flash crashes and panics, and testing for TWAP, VWAP, and CSS execution algorithms. Validation compares simulated microstructure against real sessions, while FIX 4.4 supports simulated-exchange connectivity. Choose Pulse when financial-market simulation and order-flow detail are central requirements. Teams seeking synthetic data outside market research, trading, or execution workflows should consider a broader product instead.
