Our verdict on SimpleLogin
SimpleLogin creates email aliases that forward messages to a chosen mailbox while keeping a real address private. It suits individuals and privacy-conscious small teams that want disposable-but-permanent aliases, mailbox forwarding and control over email exposure. Users can reply from an alias, while paid plans also support initiating new messages through reverse aliases. The project is open source and began in 2019.
Pricing is straightforward across the published plans. Free includes 10 aliases, unlimited bandwidth, replies from an alias, one mailbox, browser extensions, and iOS and Android apps. Premium costs $36 per year when billed annually or $4 per month when billed monthly. Both Premium options include unlimited aliases, unlimited custom domains, a catch-all domain, new messages from an alias, unlimited mailboxes and PGP encryption. Refunds are not offered.
Platform coverage is a clear strength. SimpleLogin supports the web, iOS, Android, Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge extensions, plus self-hosting. Its feature set also includes email forwarding, custom and catch-all domains, reverse aliases, TOTP or WebAuthn two-factor authentication, and PGP encryption. Choose it when alias volume, email privacy, custom-domain support or deployment control matter. The Free plan is better suited to lighter use, while users who need more than 10 aliases, multiple mailboxes or paid-only capabilities should choose Premium.
