Sifty review
A free, terminal-first Windows cleanup tool with winget uninstall and leftover scanning.

Sifty is a free, open-source maintenance tool for Windows 10 and 11. It is designed for terminal-oriented users who want application removal and broader system cleanup from either a command-line interface or a full-screen terminal UI. Its scope extends beyond uninstalling: Sifty scans for post-uninstall leftovers, junk files, caches, and duplicate files; analyzes disk usage; manages startup items and services; and cleans developer artifacts such as node_modules and WSL2 disks. It also supports Recycle Bin deletion with undo and optional local AI assistance through Ollama.
Sifty uses an open-source pricing model with a free plan. The free offering includes its winget-based application uninstallation workflow, leftover scanning and cleanup, junk and cache scanning, duplicate-file detection, disk usage analysis, bulk uninstall, startup and service management, Recycle Bin controls, dry-run previews, audit logging, and terminal interfaces. The published offering is free rather than divided into paid tiers, so there are no paid-plan additions to weigh against the free version. Integrations include winget and Ollama, with Ollama supporting the optional local AI functionality.
Sifty is a strong fit when terminal control, inspectable actions, and free access matter more than a conventional graphical workflow. Its Windows-only scope rules out use on other platforms, and application uninstallation is built around winget. Users who prefer a standard desktop interface, need cross-platform support, or want an uninstaller centered on a different removal workflow should choose an alternative. Sifty is most suitable for Windows users comfortable reviewing command-line or terminal-based cleanup actions before they run them.
