A broad church management suite for established churches that prefer local administration.

Shepherd’s Staff is locally installed church management software for churches and ministry leaders that need more than standalone check-in. Its modules cover Membership, Attendance, Contributions, Finance, and Scheduler, while the Attendance module adds secure child and visitor check-in, visitor sign-in, attendance tracking, reports, and browser-based WebTools for remote attendance entry. It is a practical fit for established churches that want attendance operations connected to broader administration and prefer PC-based software with web access for selected tasks.
Pricing is structured around one-time software editions. Small Church Edition costs $599 and includes Membership, Attendance, Contributions, Scheduler, and Check-In, plus a first-year software upgrade, one year of support, and database backups with CTS. The Small Church Edition with Finance costs $799 and adds the Finance module. Standard Edition costs $999 with the same core modules, while Standard Edition with Finance costs $1,199. Annual support plans range from $375 for Small Church Edition support to $625 for Standard Edition with Finance support; these plans include unlimited phone and email support, ongoing software upgrades, and access to WebTools. The published plans make the initial purchase clear, while ongoing support is a separate recurring cost.
The check-in feature is more detailed than a basic attendance register. Churches can customize the kiosk, print barcode name tags, show allergy indicators on printed tags, track worship and event attendance, and review attendance patterns and absentee records. Database backup and import tools support administration, and integrations include Church360° Unite and Paycor. The main trade-off is platform scope: core software is Windows-based, while WebTools is browser-based, and check-in equipment costs extra. Churches seeking a broad, locally installed management package should consider Shepherd’s Staff; those wanting a simpler, browser-first check-in tool may prefer a narrower alternative.
