ShareKit is a web-based file-sharing service for teams and individuals who need public file links rather than complex transfer workflows. It supports uploads for images, documents, audio, video, and archives, then provides a public share page, direct download URL, QR assets, embed snippets, and analytics for views, downloads, and QR scans. Support, sales, marketing, event, development, and design workflows are its clearest fits. Small uploads can be made without signup, which suits quick sharing and lightweight campaigns.

The free plan covers basic views, downloads, and QR scan counts, along with share pages, direct links, QR PNG/SVG files, and Markdown, HTML, and BBCode embeds. The Keep One File plan costs $4.99 per year and keeps one exact URL and QR code for one year, allows up to five file replacements, and adds complete analytics for that link. Pro costs $9 per month and adds file replacement without changing the URL or QR code, custom short-link slugs, password and expiry controls when enabled, and full link analytics. Business costs $29 per month, adding custom branding, vector SVG QR downloads, per-QR attribution, CSV export, advanced reporting when enabled, and priority support for business file campaigns.

ShareKit’s strongest distinction is its combination of editable public links, QR generation, embeds, and campaign-oriented measurement. Upload safeguards include MIME validation, executable blocking, filename sanitization, and upload rate limiting. The trade-off is focus: access is web-only, and the product does not provide transfer-specific workflow depth. Choose ShareKit when a stable public URL, QR code, embedded file, or measurable download page matters. Choose another service when the requirement centers on richer transfer operations or broader platform integration.

ShareKit pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Free plan includes share pages, direct links, QR codes, and embeds
    • Editable links preserve the same URL when files are replaced
    • Upload validation blocks executables and sanitizes filenames
  • Where it doesn't
    • Web access only, without transfer-specific workflow depth
    • Password and expiry controls are limited to enabled Pro features
    • The cheapest paid plan requires annual billing
