ServerPilot is a cloud server management platform for developers and businesses hosting websites and web applications on their own servers. It configures servers, installs and updates hosting software, manages applications and domains, deploys and renews Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates, and provides monitoring dashboards. Support for Nginx, Apache, MySQL, multiple PHP versions, WordPress, and JSON-based server and application management makes it suited to website operators who want a simpler administration layer while retaining ownership of their servers and data.

Pricing is organized into three paid plans, with a 14-day free trial. Economy costs $5 per server per month and includes server management, free SSL, and one-click WordPress. Business costs $10 per server per month and adds a log viewer, server resource metrics, and priority support. First Class costs $20 per server per month and adds application request and MySQL metrics to the Business feature set. The published plans show a clear progression from core server administration to more detailed operational visibility.

ServerPilot’s main strength is its focused coverage of common hosting tasks: cloud server configuration, application and domain management, automatic software updates, firewall configuration, SSL handling, monitoring, migration between servers, and API access. It integrates with Google Cloud, AWS, DigitalOcean, and GitHub Actions, while the category coverage also includes other cloud providers. The trade-off is that ServerPilot does not provide a free plan, built-in automated backups, or team access; backups are handled through the cloud provider. Choose it for straightforward administration of customer-owned cloud servers, especially for WordPress and PHP workloads. Consider an alternative if centralized backups or collaborative access are core requirements.
