Our verdict on SepticSync

SepticSync is a cloud platform for septic service providers and municipalities. It brings customer, property, system, and service records together with scheduling, dispatch, digital county forms, inspection workflows, compliance tracking, invoicing, payments, and QuickBooks synchronization. Field teams can capture photos, GPS data, signatures, and service records from mobile devices. It is a strong fit for septic firms that want one system spanning office administration, field work, recurring service, and regulatory paperwork, while municipalities have a dedicated plan for broader compliance records.

Pricing is structured around progressively wider workflows. The Free plan focuses on county forms, including finding, filling, signing, and downloading them. Starter costs $125 per month and adds jobs, scheduling, customer and property records, estimates, invoicing, field data, county filing, and email support. Growth costs $349 per month and adds service agreements, recurring work, route planning, two-way QuickBooks synchronization, reports, job costing, and automations. Pro costs $599 per month and adds multi-crew dispatch, a customer portal, online booking, online payments, AI inspection-photo analysis, and phone support with a named contact. Municipality costs $999 per month and focuses on provider filings, cross-provider compliance, parcel records, licenses, and lab information.

Its main strength is breadth within septic-specific operations. County filing delivery, parcel and tax map data, FEMA, DEC spill data, route planning, inspection forms, recurring scheduling, and compliance mapping give it a wider operational scope than a simple scheduling tool. The tradeoff is that the free plan is narrow, and the capabilities most relevant to growing or multi-crew firms sit behind higher monthly tiers. Migration Assistance covers folders, spreadsheets, or paper records, while Plumber Data Access costs $999 per year for county database property lookup and related parcel, flood-zone, and spill history. Choose SepticSync if compliance and field workflows need to live together; consider a simpler option if you only need basic scheduling or forms.
