SelectZero is a data observability and data quality platform for teams that need to validate, profile, catalog, and trace data across connected systems. It fits individual users through its free Starter plan and can also support large organisations through an Enterprise tier. Deployment options include self-hosted environments, including on-premises and private-cloud use, as well as cloud deployment. Teams can run SQL-based business-rule checks, unit tests, regression tests, and ad-hoc validations on schedules or through an API.
The published plans show a free Starter tier with data quality management, self-hosted deployment, and email alerting. Enterprise adds enterprise integrations, single sign-on, multiple isolated environments, unlimited reader users, and premium support and training. The pricing model directs Enterprise customers to contact sales, so organisations should assess the commercial fit directly with the vendor. Support is listed through email, while alert destinations include email, Slack, Teams, Jira, and custom webhooks.
SelectZero’s breadth is its main technical distinction. In addition to configurable freshness and data validations, it supports reconciliation across datasets, column statistics, historical profiling trends, machine-learning-based anomaly thresholds, and object- and column-level lineage with downstream impact analysis. A data catalog provides search, quality metrics, and asset organisation, while integrations cover Snowflake, Databricks, Teradata, SAP IQ, BigQuery, Redshift, Vertica, ClickHouse, Apache Hive, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, SAP HANA, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. Choose it when self-hosting and SQL-centered validation matter alongside observability features; teams that require publicly stated Enterprise pricing, or premium support and SSO outside the Enterprise tier, should compare alternatives.
