Secret Double Octopus is an enterprise multi-factor and passwordless authentication platform for organizations protecting mixed cloud, on-premises, desktop, remote-access and legacy environments. It supports Windows and macOS workstations, Linux SSH, VPN and VDI, RDP, web and corporate applications, databases, shared accounts and air-gapped systems. The platform is available as a cloud SaaS service or through self-managed on-premises and private-cloud deployment, with support for web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, API and self-hosted environments. It is best suited to teams that need one authentication approach across a complex hybrid estate rather than only a basic web login flow.
The three plans build from conventional MFA toward broader passwordless workforce coverage. Octopus Starter includes traditional MFA for cloud and web applications, VPN and VDI MFA, a mobile authenticator and a foundation for passwordless deployment. Octopus Pro adds desktop MFA for Windows and macOS, FIDO2 key authentication, third-party authenticator support and offline login. Octopus Enterprise extends coverage across desktop, web and corporate applications, with end-to-end passwordless authentication, privileged-access protection, legacy application support and shared-account support.
