SDV Enterprise review
A self-hosted Python SDK for relational synthesis, with strong controls but high pricing.

SDV Enterprise is a licensed Python SDK for generating synthetic tabular data across single-table, sequential, and complex multi-table relational datasets. It is aimed at organizations working on software testing, analytics, data sharing, machine-learning development, and AI workflows. The product supports Linux, Windows, macOS, and self-hosted deployment, with on-premises installation designed to keep datasets within an organization's environment. Its database capabilities include metadata detection, import, and export, with integrations for AlloyDB, BigQuery, MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Spanner.
The published plans show two paid monthly options. SDV Enterprise Base starts at $500 per user per month and includes 12+ models, 10+ data types, and dedicated support through the DataCebo Forum; AI Connectors are available as an add-on bundle. SDV Bundles costs $250 per user per month and adds Constraint Augmented Generation, XSynthesizers, Targeted Sampling, Differential Privacy, and AI Connectors. SDV Enterprise has no free plan, and the vendor states that purchases are non-refundable. These tiers make the product better suited to organizations that need its specialized capabilities than to teams seeking a low-cost evaluation path.
Its strongest differentiator is breadth within relational synthetic data generation. SDV Enterprise combines scalable synthesizers for interconnected tables with business-rule and multi-table constraint support, advanced preprocessing and anonymization, statistical quality evaluation, visualization, and output to CSV, Excel, JSON, or databases. The Python SDK and self-hosted deployment also fit on-premises environments where keeping datasets local is important. Choose it for complex relational workflows, database-connected pipelines, and enterprise control over deployment. Consider an alternative if a free plan, lower entry price, or a narrower and simpler synthetic-data workflow matters more than these capabilities.
