Scaleway Instances provides cloud virtual machines for developers, teams, and organizations running applications, websites, databases, and other workloads. Its four instance families support shared or dedicated vCPUs, x86 or ARM architectures on selected plans, configurable RAM, storage, bandwidth, and operating-system images. Management is available through the console, API, CLI, and developer tools, making it suitable for teams that want both a graphical interface and infrastructure automation. The platform is especially well suited to budget-conscious deployments in Europe.
Pricing starts with the Development plan at €0.43 per month, offering shared vCPU, 1–4 vCPUs, 1–12 GB RAM, 100–500 Mbps bandwidth, and no SLA. General Purpose starts at €16.79 per month and adds shared or dedicated vCPU, 2–64 vCPUs, 4–256 GB RAM, x86 and ARM architectures, Ubuntu and Windows, and an SLA. Compute Optimized starts at €38.83 per month with dedicated vCPU, up to 96 vCPUs, up to 192 GB RAM, x86, Ubuntu, and an SLA. Memory Optimized starts at €75.19 per month with up to 512 GB RAM. Billing is hourly, while storage and some network resources may be billed separately.
The surrounding Scaleway ecosystem is a practical part of the offering. Instances connect with Load Balancer, Object Storage, Block Storage, Managed Database, VPC, and Private Network services, while placement groups support low latency or maximum availability. Instance groups provide usage-based autoscaling, and load balancers support backend registration and autohealing. These capabilities suit application stacks that need more than a single VM, although autoscaling and instance groups are documented as Public Beta. Choose Scaleway Instances for cost-conscious European workloads and varied VM profiles; consider alternatives if broader regional coverage or mature autoscaling is essential.
