RS RAID Retrieve review
A focused recovery tool for complex RAID, NAS, DAS, and virtual-machine cases.

RS RAID Retrieve is data recovery software for reconstructing and scanning failed or degraded RAID arrays. It is aimed at home users and professionals working with RAID arrays, NAS and DAS devices, connected disks, virtual-machine disk formats, and supported forensic images. Windows, macOS, and Linux are supported. The software can preview recoverable files before recovery and export recovered data to another storage location, while its free edition provides preview functionality rather than file saving.
Its strongest area is RAID-focused recovery depth. Automatic RAID parameter detection can help reconstruct arrays, including cases where the original RAID controller is unavailable. The product supports degraded-array recovery and multiple RAID levels, including RAID 0, 1, 4, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60. Deep scanning of reconstructed arrays adds a further step for difficult recovery work. Remote SSH access extends recovery to NAS devices, servers, and VMware ESXi hosts, and virtual machine data recovery is included alongside encrypted-volume and forensic-image recovery. These features make it a specialist option for varied storage environments rather than a general-purpose undelete utility.
The published plans are organized by disk scope. Up To 3 Disks and Up To 5 Disks each provide one license for one PC or server, virtual machine support, lifetime free upgrades, and free technical support. Unlimited Disks adds an unlimited license for PCs or servers and support for providing services to third parties, while retaining the other listed benefits. Saving recovered files requires a license, so the free edition is most useful for assessing whether files can be previewed. Choose RS RAID Retrieve when RAID structure, NAS access, virtual machines, or forensic images are central to the recovery task. A simpler recovery tool may be a better fit for isolated, non-RAID file deletion.
