Roxio Toast review
A broad Mac media suite for disc creation, copying, conversion, capture, and editing.

Roxio Toast is a paid macOS desktop suite for creating, copying, authoring, converting, capturing, editing, and securing digital media. It is aimed primarily at individual Mac users working with personal photos, videos, audio, and data. Toast Titanium covers CD and DVD creation, customizable menus with chapters, backgrounds, and music, media conversion, screen and webcam capture, audio editing, photo stylization, and encrypted discs or USB drives. Its published image-format support includes ISO, BIN/CUE, IMG, DMG, CDR, and NRG for disc-image work.
The main strength is breadth. Rather than focusing only on ISO-related tasks, Toast brings burning, disc copying, DVD authoring, media conversion, capture, and editing into one application. Cloud connections with iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, and ZipShare also support workflows that move media between local storage and online services. Toast Pro extends the suite with Blu-ray authoring, additional menu templates, photo-editing software, digital-painting software, and WinZip for Mac, making the upgrade more relevant to users with broader media-authoring needs.
The tradeoff is focus and platform coverage. Users who need a narrowly defined ISO creation tool may find Toast’s wider media feature set more than they need, while Blu-ray authoring is reserved for Toast Pro. The product information lists macOS versions through Sonoma, so buyers should check compatibility before purchasing for a newer macOS release. Choose Roxio Toast when disc authoring, conversion, capture, editing, and data protection matter together; choose a more focused alternative when the sole requirement is straightforward ISO creation or when Windows support is essential.
