Our verdict on Rowy

Rowy is an open-source low-code database CMS and backend platform for developers and teams managing Cloud Firestore. Its spreadsheet-style web interface supports collection and table creation, field configuration, validation, default values, required fields, and multiple views. Teams can import or export CSV, TSV, JSON, and Airtable data while controlling access at the table and field levels. Rowy is available as a cloud-hosted service or for self-hosting on a user’s infrastructure or Google Cloud project.

The freemium pricing structure gives the Base plan one project, unlimited data table collections with no record limit, unlimited cloud functions, unlimited API calls, and custom role-based access control at no monthly cost. Pro costs $12 per seat per month when billed monthly and adds unlimited projects, full-text search, large dataset export, advanced filtering and sorting, and email support. A one-month free trial is available for Pro. Business adds a custom domain, priority support, data version control, field-level data auditing, and automated data backups.
