Our verdict on Rise

Rise is an iPhone routine planner for people who want a structured morning and evening rhythm without a broad task-management system. Its flow combines a system-level alarm, a focus session, reflection and streak tracking. Focus sessions run from 5 to 120 minutes, while wind-down sessions add ambient sound. Daily streaks, calendar history and unlockable identity titles give the routine a sense of continuity, and the app also includes widgets and Live Activities. It is a good fit for simple focus and wind-down routines on iPhone, rather than users managing recurring schedules across multiple platforms.

The pricing is straightforward but offers two different payment patterns. The free plan includes the alarm, short focus and wind-down sessions, daily streak tracking and the Beginner title. The Lifetime plan costs $19.99 as a one-time purchase and adds full focus and wind-down sessions, Reflections and 40+ titles, streak history and freezes, Apple Health and iCloud backup. The Weekly plan costs $1.99 per week, includes a 3-day free trial, adds the same paid features, and auto-renews weekly unless canceled in Settings. The published plans make Lifetime the clearer choice for users who prefer to pay once, while Weekly suits users who want a cancel-anytime subscription.

Rise fits Apple’s ecosystem through Apple Health synchronization and private iCloud backup. Its system-level alarms, widgets and Live Activities also keep the routine close to the iPhone’s core interface. However, the app does not provide recurring routine scheduling, which limits its usefulness for people who want automated multi-day plans or detailed calendar-based habit programming. Choose Rise for a focused alarm-to-reflection routine with light journaling and streak motivation. Choose an alternative if recurring schedules, broader platform support or more advanced routine planning are central requirements.
