Rescale is a cloud platform for engineering and scientific computing, with a focus on enterprise engineering and R&D teams in industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy, life sciences, manufacturing, semiconductors, and the public sector. Its core offering combines multi-cloud HPC job orchestration, batch workflows, elastic cloud workstations with browser access, persistent high-performance storage, engineering software integrations, and AI-assisted engineering workflows. Web and REST API access support both interactive work and file uploads or job management.

The platform fits organizations that need to coordinate workloads across AWS, Azure, and GCP rather than standardize on one cloud. Integrations include AWS S3, Azure Blob, Azure Files, GCP, GitHub, Docker, Lustre, and SharePoint. Multi-region workload balancing and 31 listed regional entries support distributed operations, while policy-based resource, budget, and access controls help govern infrastructure use. These capabilities make Rescale more relevant to simulation, modeling, engineering software, and AI workflows than to basic application hosting.

According to the vendor's pricing page, Rescale uses customized quotes rather than public plan prices and does not offer a free plan. Enterprise includes flexible modeling and simulation, elastic cloud workstations, an HPC and software catalog, financial reporting, workflow controls, and security and access controls. Government adds FedRAMP authorized Moderate, ITAR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST 800-53 coverage. Choose Rescale when specialized HPC orchestration, cloud workstations, controls, and engineering integrations are central requirements; choose another option when you need a general-purpose hosting service centered on conventional web infrastructure.
