Our verdict on Recraft
Recraft is an AI image generation and editing platform for professional designers, illustrators, marketers, and creative teams. It can create raster images, editable vector graphics, illustrations, icons, 3D graphics, and mockups from prompts. Its toolkit also covers natural-language editing, reference-image guidance, inpainting, outpainting, background replacement, background removal, raster-to-vector conversion, upscaling, and multiple visual directions through Exploration mode. Recraft Studio adds an infinite canvas, while the API supports programmatic raster and vector generation, editing, style creation, vectorization, and background removal.
The plan structure suits different levels of evaluation and production use. Free provides 30 credits per day, but generated images are publicly visible and restricted to non-commercial use. Basic provides 1,000 credits per month, private image generation, and commercial usage rights while subscribed; it costs $12 per month monthly or $10 per month when billed annually. Pro raises the allowance to 2,000 credits per month with the same private-generation and commercial-use benefits, at $20 per month monthly or $16 per month annually. The credit limits make plan selection relevant for teams with regular generation workloads.
