Our verdict on Recipe Notes

Recipe Notes is a recipe saver and organizer for home cooks who want to collect recipes from social posts, websites, photos and documents, then find and cook from them across web and mobile. Searchable cookbooks, ingredient-based search, a weekly meal planner and step-by-step cook mode with a built-in timer bring saving and cooking into one workflow. It is particularly suited to households building shared collections, while a solo cook who only needs a place to store recipes may find the free plan sufficient.

The free plan includes unlimited recipes with cloud sync, basic meal planning and up to two cookbooks. Imports are limited to 20 social items per week, up to five a day, and 30 web items per week; grocery lists can include up to five recipes. Pro removes those constraints with unlimited cookbooks, imports and meal planning, plus smart merging of duplicate grocery ingredients. Pro costs $4.99 monthly or $34.99 annually. Family adds Pro features for six members total, shared recipe collections, and family meal planning and grocery lists; it costs $6.99 monthly or $49.99 annually. A seven-day free trial is offered.

Imports from Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook and YouTube, alongside support for photos and PDFs, give Recipe Notes several ways to bring recipes into its cookbooks. Calendar and iOS Reminders are also listed as integrations. The Family plan works across iPhone, iPad and Android, and the product is available on web, iOS and Android. Email and documentation are the listed support channels. Choose Recipe Notes if recipe capture, planning and guided cooking belong in the same routine, especially across a family. Those who need only a basic personal recipe archive may not need a paid plan; users seeking shared family tools should compare the Family tier with Pro before choosing.
