Our verdict on Recipe Keeper

Recipe Keeper brings recipes from websites, Instagram, TikTok, other recipe apps, and printed or handwritten pages into one organizer. Home cooks can search saved recipes by name, ingredient, or directions, adjust serving sizes, and use weekly or monthly meal plans to organize what they want to cook. It is available on iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, and Mac, with recipe syncing and offline use across supported devices. That breadth makes it a fit for people who want a shared recipe collection on more than one kind of device, rather than a tool centered on a single cookbook or platform.

Its standout strength is the path from recipe collection to groceries. Meal plans and individual recipes can generate shopping lists, which can be grouped by aisle; the app also supports multiple lists. Recipe imports reduce the need to enter every recipe manually, while OCR offers a way to bring in printed or handwritten ones. Sharing recipes and meal plans, plus creating printable or PDF cookbooks, supports household coordination and keeping a collection in a portable format. Alexa is the listed integration, so buyers looking for a broader connected kitchen ecosystem may find its integration footprint narrow.

Recipe Keeper is freemium and has a free plan. The official site invites users to try it free but does not publish plan pricing; the US App Store lists a $19.99 Pro upgrade, though billing details for plans are not specified here. Email is the listed support channel. Choose it if importing, organizing, planning, and syncing recipes are the main needs. Consider another option if a wider integration ecosystem or a product focused beyond recipe management matters more. Its feature set is oriented toward maintaining a personal recipe library and turning it into meal plans and shopping lists.
