Our verdict on Readlock
Readlock retells ideas from books as interactive stories called skillbooks, aimed at iPhone readers who want short, skill-focused lessons rather than conventional summaries. Each skillbook uses characters and a plot to present a book’s ideas in short chapters. Questions and reflection prompts appear between sections, adding moments to consider the material as readers move through it.
Reading support is built into the format: Readlock saves the reader’s place, tracks progress, and offers reminders every other day. Each skillbook also has free preview lessons, which let readers sample its approach before opening it.
