RDS Remote Support review
A practical Windows and Mac remote-support tool with flexible access features.

RDS Remote Support is remote-access software for IT professionals, maintenance teams and customer-support agents. It combines attended screen sharing and remote control with unattended access, file transfer, chat, command execution, multi-monitor support, clipboard synchronization, Wake-on-LAN and session recording. The product supports Windows and macOS endpoints, offers encrypted connections, and is available as a cloud-managed service or through self-hosting. It fits small teams that need core remote assistance without limiting the number of users or devices.
Pricing is based on concurrent connections and billed annually. The Starter plan costs $8 per concurrent connection per month and includes up to 1 concurrent connection, unlimited users and devices, plus updates and support. Business costs $30 per concurrent connection per month for up to 5 concurrent connections, with the same unlimited users and devices and included updates and support. Corporate costs $50 per concurrent connection per month for 10 concurrent connections and more, again with unlimited users and devices and included updates and support. A 14-day free trial is available, while the product itself does not have a free plan.
The feature set covers both attended and unattended support workflows, giving teams options for live troubleshooting and access to devices without someone present. Remote command prompt and keyboard commands add administrative control, while recording, chat and file transfer support service documentation and collaboration. Freshdesk integration connects the tool with that support platform. The trade-off is a narrow endpoint footprint: Windows and macOS are supported, with no mobile apps. Teams that need basic desktop support, unlimited device coverage and self-hosting should consider it; organizations requiring broader platform coverage or mobile access should look elsewhere.
