Ratna review
A focused, cost-controlled home for production Next.js applications.

Ratna is a managed hosting platform for Next.js and other web applications. It is designed for individual developers, side projects, and production applications that need server-rendered Next.js features without assembling hosting infrastructure. Applications can deploy from connected repositories or Docker images, while static assets and cached pages are delivered through a global edge CDN. The platform supports zero-config framework detection and runs server-side workloads in isolated Firecracker microVMs.
The Hobby plan costs $7 per month and includes 150 GB of US/EU CDN bandwidth, $7 of monthly usage credit, up to 20 projects, five custom domains, 2 GB of memory and 1 vCPU per app. It also includes branch preview URLs and automatic HTTPS. Scale-to-zero applies to idle applications, and a configurable hard spend cap helps control usage-based billing. This combination suits developers who want a defined monthly starting point while retaining room for server-side Next.js features such as SSR, API routes, ISR, and server actions.
Ratna’s strongest fit is a focused Next.js deployment workflow: repository or Docker-based deployments, preview environments, custom domains, HTTPS, CDN delivery, and application-level runtime resources are covered in one service. Its operational scope is narrower for teams that need multi-region operation, contractual uptime commitments, edge functions, or edge middleware. Applications currently run from one region, and the service does not provide a contractual uptime SLA. Choose Ratna when cost control and core Next.js hosting are the priorities; consider another platform when distributed operation or broader edge capabilities are central requirements.
