RaQuest review
Structured requirements control for Windows teams already using Enterprise Architect.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
RaQuest is a Windows desktop requirements-management add-in for Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect. It is designed for software and systems development teams that need structured requirement definition, organization, review, approval, traceability, version history, baselines, and documentation within that modeling environment. Requirements can include IDs, versions, phases, statuses, priorities, risks, comments, and custom attributes, while hierarchical trees, packages, filters, searches, and custom trees support organization across projects.
Pricing is based on one-time per-license purchases. The Standard License costs $156 per license, while the Floating License costs $280 per license; both are English versions and require Enterprise Architect. Support renewal costs $50 for a Standard License and $75 for a Floating License. Resumption of support costs $120 for a Standard License and $180 for a Floating License. A 30-day free trial is available. These options suit teams that prefer a defined license purchase over recurring subscription pricing, with floating licensing intended as the higher-priced license option.
RaQuest’s strongest fit is an Enterprise Architect-centered workflow: it integrates with Enterprise Architect requirements and use cases, and imports from CSV and Microsoft Word through an add-in. It also supports configurable review and approval statuses, change-item management, update logs with revision viewing and rollback, baseline comparison and restoration, and exports to HTML, RTF, CSV, and Excel. The trade-off is a narrow platform and ecosystem fit: it runs on Windows, requires Enterprise Architect, and does not provide AI features. The vendor reported on 28-Jul-2026 that RaQuest did not function properly with Enterprise Architect 17.2 and was working to resolve the issue. Choose it for structured control around Enterprise Architect; choose another tool if that dependency or platform constraint does not suit your team.
