Our verdict on RapGen
RapGen is a web-based AI tool for turning a text idea or supplied lyrics into rap tracks, aimed at solo creators and small teams. It can generate lyrics, beats and vocals together, or create an instrumental without singing. Vocal choices include male, female or alternating voices; users can also choose tempo and language. Alongside song creation, RapGen offers standalone lyric, diss, freestyle and rap-name tools, plus feedback on user-supplied bars. That breadth makes it useful for both developing a track and working on individual rap-writing tasks.
The plans are credit-based, with a free tier providing 2 credits per day, Quick sound quality, the standalone writing tools and unlimited listening. Paid options add Better and Best sound quality and commercial licensing. One-time Starter and Studio packs cost $19 for 150 credits and $49 for 400 credits, respectively; those credits never expire. Monthly subscriptions start with Basic at $19 per month for 150 credits, while Premium costs $32 per month for 300 credits.
