Our verdict on RAM Tracking
RAM Tracking is a cloud-based fleet telematics platform for trades, field-service companies, logistics operators and other commercial fleets. It combines real-time GPS vehicle location, journey and mileage reporting, driver-behaviour monitoring, vehicle health data, geofencing, vehicle checks and defect reporting. Its US offering also includes an FMCSA-registered ELD solution, hours-of-service tracking, digital inspections and roadside inspection mode. Web, iOS and Android access support office and mobile teams, while job-management plans add tools for businesses coordinating vehicles and field work.
Pricing begins with the Lite plan at $14.99 per vehicle per month, billed monthly. It includes two-minute GPS updates, desktop tracking, three months of reporting history, cloud-based software and fleet management reminders. Core adds one-minute updates, automatic mileage reporting, three years of history, automated alerts, driver-behaviour monitoring and expense management. Plus adds RAM Assist, customizable vehicle checks, defect reporting, proof of attendance and breakdown and accident alerts. SD costs $28.99 per vehicle per month and adds a forward-facing HD camera, 32GB SD storage and event detection. Starter and Innovator focus on job management at $32.99 and $45.99 per user monthly; Innovator adds Xero, QuickBooks and Stripe integrations.
