Rainbond is an open-source, Kubernetes-based application platform for development, testing, operations, and enterprise delivery teams. It offers web access and self-hosted deployment, with workflows for deploying applications from source code, container images, YAML, Helm charts, and software packages. Its application-centric approach suits teams that want to manage delivery and lifecycle tasks across private infrastructure or multiple clouds rather than assemble a platform around a single deployment format.

Deployment and lifecycle breadth are central to the product. Rainbond supports automatic builds, continuous delivery, version management, upgrades, and rollbacks, alongside multi-cluster and multi-cloud management. Teams can reuse application templates through its marketplace, scale components horizontally based on resource metrics, and access running containers through a web terminal. Integrations include GitLab, GitHub, Gitee, SVN, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, and Helm. Offline and private-environment delivery are also supported, making Rainbond a potential fit where connected public-cloud workflows are not the only requirement.

The three editions offer distinct support and operating models. Community Edition is open source, free to download, and backed by community support. Rainbond Cloud has usage-based billing and adds SLA support, enterprise features, and online technical support. Enterprise Edition offers private deployment, professional support, 24/7 response, and custom services. Choose Community Edition if an open-source platform with community support fits your team; consider Cloud or Enterprise for vendor support or private deployment. Teams seeking a narrower, single-cluster application deployment tool may find Rainbond's broader platform scope unnecessary.
