Our verdict on Rail
Rail provides white-labeled lending infrastructure for software platforms that serve businesses. It supports embedded offers and application flows for working-capital term loans, revenue-based financing, revolving lines of credit, and pay-over-time financing for invoices, purchases and payroll. Rail also identifies a merchant cash advance as its principal product, with financing provided through Rail Capital LLC. The product is aimed at mid-market and enterprise platforms that want lending capabilities inside their own customer experience rather than a separate borrower destination.
Commercial terms are handled through contact sales. For integration, Rail offers a REST API, webhooks, SDKs and hosted UI components, with web and API access on a cloud deployment. This combination lets a platform choose between building directly against the API and using hosted interface elements. The stack covers more than offer presentation: Rail lists origination, servicing, payments and collections, along with KYC, KYB and AML compliance handling. These capabilities make it a fit for teams seeking one lending infrastructure layer across the loan lifecycle.
Rail’s underwriting uses cash-flow data, and its AI underwriting is trained on funded-deal performance. The stated funding speed is one to three days, while the maximum funding figure is $5 million for a Pay Over Time financing credit line; repayment can be based on revenue share. Choose Rail when embedded lending breadth, white-label control and operational coverage matter more than a self-serve buying path. Platforms that require on-premises deployment, publicly structured tiers or support beyond email and documentation should consider alternatives with those characteristics.
