Rage4 DNS review
Per-zone pricing pairs core DNS controls with GeoDNS routing on Professional.

Rage4 DNS provides authoritative DNS hosting for organizations managing domain zones. Its dual-stack Anycast network, DNSSEC, DANE/TLSA, vanity nameservers, failover support, and REST API make it relevant to teams that need more than basic zone hosting. Premium is priced per zone, so the service may suit operators who want DNS controls and predictable costs tied to each zone. Teams seeking geographic traffic steering need to look at Professional rather than Premium.
Pricing is straightforward across the listed paid tiers. Premium costs €5 per zone per month or €55 per zone per year, and includes unlimited records and requests plus 60-second TTLs. Professional costs €50 per zone per month or €550 per zone per year; it includes Premium features, unlimited geo balancing, and distribution rules. Enterprise is for bulk pricing and custom solutions. VAT of 23% may apply to EU customers without a valid EU VAT ID. There is no free plan, so organizations evaluating a no-cost DNS option should consider an alternative.
Professional's routing scope is the key distinction: Rage4 lists geographic regions, closest-first routing, and Autonomous System targeting. This gives teams a path from authoritative hosting into more targeted DNS distribution, with API access available across its web and API platforms. The service lists failover support, but failover alone should not be treated as evidence of documented health-check behavior. Pick Rage4 if per-zone billing and DNSSEC, Anycast, or GeoDNS capabilities fit your needs; look elsewhere if you require a free tier or need health-check specifics before selecting a failover service.
